David Martinez
David Martinaz, age 49, of Warden, passed away
Saturday, June 8, 2002 at the Samaritan Health Care
in Moses Lake, Wash.
David was born in
Tordngton, Wyoming on
Nov. 26,1952 to David end
Caroline (Servantez)
Martinez. He lived in Grant
County for five years.
David enjoyed fishing
and collecting antique
guns. he was an avid dart
player and enjoyed the
outdoors. His dog, Pooh,
was his pride and joy and
he enjoyed horses as well. David was appreciated
by all who knew him at Scootney Spnngs School in
Othello, where he was custodian. Many would
dascnbe him as an ev~ keeled and very kind
hearted person. He will be missed by his many
friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Aurora Martinez; close
companion, Lucy Braziel, of Warden; one son, David
(Unda) Martinez of Bellingham, Wash; one step-
daughter, Blanca Martinez; his mother, Caroline
Sarvantez of Othello; his father, David Martinez of
Othello; one brother Lonnie Martinez of Moses Lake,
Wash.; four sisters, Sally Bryant of Renton, Wash.,
Rite Chambers of McKenna, Wash., Rode Giersdod
of Moses Lake and Nine Colley of Othello; one
grandson end numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Fd., June 14 at 1
p.m. at the Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello with
Reverend Tim Hays of Sacred Heart Catholic Church
officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Stevens Funeral
Chapel of Othello.
Nicole Braziel
Nloole Lee Ann Breziel, age 22, a former resident
of Othello, currently living in Broomfield, Colo.
passed away Sun., June 2, 2002 at the Avista
Centura Health Center in Louisville, Cole, Nicole was
born in Seattle on Sept. 9, 1979 to Jose and
Geraldine (Brazial) Senchez of Othello.
Nicole attended school in Othdlo and moved to
Colorado with her long time companion, Chris
Mathewa, There she worked as a manager for Burger
King and stayed busy raising her two children. She
was expecting her third child at the time of her death.
Nicole Iovedto dance and sing and enjoyed shopping,
decorating and traveling. When her wo~ allowed, she
attended church. She was loved by all that knew here
end will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her parents of Othello; one son,
Isaiah Lee Mathews; one daughter, Ninia Anna Lee
Mathews; special companion, Chris Mathews; two
brothers, Gonzalo Sanchez of San Jose, Calif., and
Avis Even Braziel of Connell; five sisters, Angelica
Sanchez of Stockton, Calif, Laconda Ella Lee Braziel
of Othello, Stella Senchez of San Jo~,e, Norma
Senchez of Mexico and Anita Avis Plancarte of
Othello.
Viewing and visitation was held Men•, June 10 at
the Stevens Funeral Chapel. Funeral services were
held Tues., June tl at the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints in Othello. Burial followed at City
View Cemetery in Pasco.
Arrangements were entrusted to Stevens Funeral
Chapel of Othello.
Michael Robinson
Michael Kelly Robinson, age 49, of Hatton, Wash.,
passed away on Sun., June 2, 2002 at the Othello
Community Hospital• Michael was born May 17,1953
in Auburn, Calif. to Chades and Audrey (Wouti)
Robinson. He lived in Hatton for six years and worked
in retail stores.
On Apn129,1995 Michael married Patricia (Patti)
Pitts. They had a unique wedding in Lake Tahoe with
the ceremony on the Califomia side and the rece~ion
on the Nevada side. In 1996, they moved from
Loomis, Calif. to Hatton where he worked at the
Country Travel Plaza at Highway 395 and Highway
26. Michael went to work at Safeway in Moses Lake
in 1997 and retired at the end of 200t due to illness.
He was a member of United Food Co- Workers for
12 years.
Michael loved golf, lifting weights, fishing and
camping. Spending time with his family was his
greatest love. he was very loyal to childhood friends
and they remain close friends today.
Survivors include his wife, Patti, of Hatton; his
mother, Audrey Robinson of Rocklin, Calif; two sons,
Markus Janke and Alexander Robinson of Hatton;
one daughter, Rhonda Robinson of Rocklin; three
sisters, Kathy Gieck of Rocklin, Kelley O'Callahan
of Orange Park, Fie. and Mary $chull ol Cameron
Park, Calif., and one grandchild. His father and
grandparents preceded him in death.

June 10 at McCosh Park in Moses Lake• Memorial
contdbutions may be made to the American Cancer
Society in Michael's name.

Lois Marie Calvert, age73, of Othello, passed away
Tues., June 11, 2002 at the Othello Community
Hospital.
Memorial services will be held Monday, June 17,
2002 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in
Othello with Pastor Don Shively officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions
be made to the Children's Orthopedic Hospital in
Seaffie, Wash. A full obituary will appear in next week's
issue of The Othello Outlook
Othello police Monday, June 3
9:37 am., an Avista ernployee was bitten by a dog.
10:24 a.m., a two-vehicle, injury accident occurred
at Broadway and Columbia. Vehicle No. 1 was turn-
ing southbound onto Broadway from Columbia and
vehicle No. 2 was northbound on Broadway'in the
left-hand lane. A third vehicle was northbound on
Broadway and turning eastbound on Columbia. No.
1 didn't see No. 2 because of No. 3 and pulled into
its path.
10:33 a.m., a bicycle was stolen from a reddence
on North 13th.
11:17 a.m., a wallet was found in the beckyard
on Hamlet. It was returned to the owner.
11:56 a.m:, a two-vehicle, injury accident occurred
at Seventh and Juniper. The driver of vehicle No. 1
had gotten into an altercation with a subject in a
nearby parking lot. The driver left at a high rate ol
speed to Seventh and Elm, came north and turned
westbound onto Juniper in front ol vehicle No. 2.
The driver then exited the vehicle and assaulted the
subject he had been in the altercation with. The oc-.
cupants of vehicle No. 2 were transported to the hos-
pital by ambulance.
11:32 p.m., a one-car, injury accident occurred at
Highway 26 and First. The subject was taken to the
hospital with a possible broken a.nkle. Tuesday, June 4
6:16 a.m., windows were broken with and orange
paint balls splattered all over the school on South
Seventh.
8 a.m., orange paint balls were splattered on a
building on South First.
11:57 a.ra, a two-vehicle accident o~curred at Sec-
ond and Main. Vshide No. 1 was soulhbomd on Second
and No. 2 was eas~ on Meln. NO. 1failed to yield to
No. 2. The dnver olNo. 2 complained el a sore back but
refused medical assistance.
1 p.m., Daniel Gallegos, Othello, was arrested
for an active warrant.
1:07 p.m., three juveniles were reportedly fight-
ing on 12th Avenue between Larch and Spruce.
About 12 other juveniles were watching. Officers
were unable to locate anyone.
1:27 p.m., officers received a report of prostitu-
tion going on at a location on South Third. The resi-
dent was contacted. He said he was not engaging
in prostitution but would send a business card when
he started.
10:49 p.m., a group of people were outside mak-
ing noise on North 10th, They were contacted and
the party went inside.
Wednesday, June 5
5:14 a.m., two dogs were inside a fenced yard on East
Cedar and t~ng to kill the residents cats. Officers found
ll'~e dogs trapl:~l between two fencss end a shed. Alarge
pie of fur was in the yard where the dogs had attacked a
cat A feoce board was taken down and the dogs ran
dewn the alley. O$cers were unable to contact b~e dogs'
mmer.
9 a.m., a single, house-type key was found on
North Shady Lane.
Thursday, June 6
5:37 a.m., someone dumped trash in the north-
west comar of a fenced backyard on South Second.
There were no identifying markings.
8:02 a.m., a Sony AM-FM-CD player was taken
from a car on East Larch.
4:02 p.m., a minor accident occurred on East Main.
Friday, June 7
2:26 a.m., a drunken male subject fell in a store
on South First. He left the store eastbound. Officers
were unable to locate the subject.
5:10 a.m., a two-car, non-injury accident occurred
on South Broadway.
12:25 p.m., an accident occurred in a parking lot
on East Main when a car was backing up and an-
other pulled into the lot.
t1:04 p.m., officers assisted Grant County with
tracking a burglary suspect out of Warden.
Saturday, June 8
1:04 a.m., a man wearing dark clothing was hid-
ing in trees on East Spruce.
5:55 a.m., a doe was seen running at Fourth and .
Fircrest. The caller said the deer came across Main
from the south and ran north on Fou~ to Rrcrest,
then east on Fircrest. Officers were unable to locate
the deer.
6:12 a.m., graffiti was painted on a building on
East Main.
6:18 a.m., graffiti was painted on the Othello Latin
Senior Center on South Fourth.
7:06 a.m., graffiti was painted on a building on
South First.
2:03 p.m., a vehicle was hit in a parking lot at
Seventh and Main.
11:05 p.m., loud music was reported on East Ash.
The vehicles were contacted and left. Sunday, June 9
1:20 a.m., a loud party was reported on 10th Av-
enue. One gid was arrested for minor in possassion-
consumption of alcohol. She was released to an adult
relative.
Leonel Jurado Hernandez, also
known as Jose Estrada Gonzalez, 38,
is wanted for driving under the influ-
ence. Hernandez is a Hispanic male,
5 foot 10 inches tall, weighs 180
pounds and has black hair and brown
eyes. His last known residence was in
Othello
Anyone who has seen Hernandez
or who may have information about
his whereabouts is asked to contact
the Othello Police Department at
488-3314. Information can be kept
confidential.

citizens of Othello in solving crimes in the area.
