GROUNDS GET NEW LOOK
Scheduled Tonight
The Othello High School
1974 annuals have arrived and
will be handed out this
Thursday, Aug. 29, school
officials announced today.
The annual signing party is
set for 6 to 10 p.m. at the High
School this evening. Members
of the Class of 1974 who have
bought annuals were re-
minded to be present.
Randy Slape, 19, of Kenne-
wick, was killed Tuesday in a
one-car accident near Matt-
awa, according to the Wash-
ington State Patrol.
Troopers said Slape suf-
fered massive head injuries °
when his eastbound pickup
truck left Road 24-SW six
miles east of Mattawa. The
vehicle left the road, rolled
when Slape apparently "over-
corrected" and tossed Slape
onto the roadway.

of the year.
The son of a pediatrician in
Sweden, Hofvander has two
sisters and makes his home in
Upsala, a community of about
120,000 in the southern part of
his country.
He made the trip to the
United States on a chartered
flight with about 160 other
Swedish students coming here
under the Rotary Club ex-

fluently and reports he is
looking forward to his year in

His sponsorship by the local

participation as exchange
students to a foreign country.
Information on the program
will be available at the school
