Olson Named
For Savings,
Loan Program
Jeff L. Olson of Othello, has
been selected to attend the
School for Executive De-
velopment for savings and
loan personnel at the Uni-
versity of Washington, Sept. 1
through 13. Olson is branch
manager at Community Sav-
ings and Loan, Othello office.
The school, conducted by
the American Savings and
Loan Institute in cooperation
with the University of Wash-
ington, is a two-week intensive
educational program for per-
sons in managerial and super-
visory positions in the savings
association business.
Olson is one of approx-
imately 100 students chosen
from applicants from across
the country for the first year
session at the school. Success-
ful completion of the first year,
a management project and a
significant ratio project plus
other interim outside assign-
ments qualifies the student for
a second year.
Subjects included in the
study are Economic Guides for
Management Decisions, Man-
agement and Administration,
Financial Institutions, Organ-
izational Behavior and Com-
munication Skills in Manage-
ment.

Loan Institute is the edu-

For '74 Seniors
Red and white tassels,
which didn't arrive in time for
graduation last June, are now
available for 1974 Othello High
School seniors at the High
School office.
Officials said the graduates
many pick up their tassels at
