Basin will be offered at
Columbia Basin College in

"Farm Vegetable Produc-
tion."
This class wil be taught by a

The instructor, Del Wisdon
has been farming in the Basin
City area for about ten years
and has successfully grown
several of these crops on a
commercial scale. Most of the
others have been grown in a
test area on a cooperative
arrangement with seed com-
panies and W.S.U.
The subject matter to be
covered on each crop will be
on economic feasability
(marketing), irrigation, fert-
ilizer, cultural practices and
harvesting.
The major vegetable crops
will be discussed, such as:
Root Crops, carrots, radishes,
turnups; Vine Crops, melons,
squash, cucumbers; Leaf
Vegetables, lettuce and spin-
ach; Cole Crops, cabbage and
cauliflower; and Misc, toma-
toes, peppers, sweet potatoes.
These crops and similiar
ones have been successfully
grown in the Columbia Basin
Classes begin Jan. 14, in
S-101 on C.B.C. Campus from
7 to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday
and Thursday night. For more

and Dedication of our new -
Our new Othello Service Center is now completed and operating. At 10:00 tomorrow morning
Othello civic officials and our company officers will "cut the ribbon," and we will be officially open
to serve you.
The rest of the day will be open house with tours of the facility for our visitors. There will be
coffee, coke, and cookies for everyone.
Be our guest. We hope you can come and celebrate this grand opening with us.
We would like to show you our new facility that combines Sll our Othello operations under one
roof to serve our customers more efficiently. The new building is electrically heated,
air-conditioned. The electric and telephone service is all underground. We would like to show you
the new Night Depository for convenient payment of bins and our new reader board where we
can display public announcements of civic interest.
