Although we do not know when Christ'was born nor is there any teaching in the New Testament that suggests com- memoration of his birth, it is a wonderful event. Yet is it the greatest? In the writings of the apostles we find that the crucifiction is highes esteemed, .with the res- urrection next for upon these two, more t~han any others, rests the very foundation of Chris- tianity. But is not his ~irth im- portant, you may say? Let us look and see. . : First, it is not a m~;a: birth or in .what group he is born that determines what be makes uf himself in life. Christ's great- ness resls in whaL h~ ~-., i:~r mamkind. He made out of an humble life one of the greatest showed to the world a better examples ever known. He life by ~he ~ay he lived and gave them a hope by the death ,he died. His ,birth gave to the world a hope o ~an earthly king 'but ,his resurrection gave to the world the hope of a Heavenly King. Let us not get a one-sid- ed view of Christ as the babe and forget that he now rules in heaven because he died.
